(VOVWORLD) - Cao Phong district’s Boarding Middle and High School for Ethnic Minorities was established in 2002. In its 20 years of operation, the school, which exclusively serves ethnic minority pupils from disadvantaged areas, has become a bright spot in the education and training sector of the northern province of Hoa Binh.
(VOVWORLD) - "Tài khoăn", which means “Longevity ritual” in the Nung language, is held on one’s birthday or in the spring, at the beginning of the year. The ritual has been practiced and promoted by generations of the Nung in Na Ri district, Bac Kan province.

The bride's family is responsible for preparing betrothal gifts, and the groom's family has the privilege of asking for gifts. Before getting married, the bride lives with the groom’s family for a certain period. After the wedding, the groom goes to live with the bride’s family.

The ceremony to build a water pipeline and worship the water source is one of the important events.

(VOVWORLD) - Keng loóng dancing is an indispensable part of the lives and festive events of Thai ethnic people in Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province. When Thai villages conduct community tourism, they often perform keng loong to greet and entertain the tourists.
(VOVWORLD) - The Pa Then is one of the 14 ethnic groups in Vietnam with a population of fewer than 10,000. They live mainly in Bac Quang and Quang Binh district of Ha Giang province and Lam Binh district of Tuyên Quang province. It’s easy to differentiate the Pa Then from other ethnic groups by the colors of their clothes. Pa Then men wear indigo outfits, while the women stand out in bright red dresses.
