(VOVWORLD) - The Dien Bien Phuc battle site has been designated a Special National Historical Relic. The complex consists of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, the De Castries bunker. Him Lam hill, the Victory Monument in Dien Bien Phu city, the Command Headquarters of the Dien Bien Phu campaign and the venue of the victory parade.
(VOVWORLD) - Today marks the 64th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, Vietnam’s biggest victory in the resistance war from 1945 to 1954. It forced the French colonialists to sign the Geneva Agreement to end the war and restore peace in Indochina, positively influencing national liberation movements in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. This victory made headlines in the then foreign press.
