Vietnam, Australia boost bilateral cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi on Monday for the Special Summit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Australia relations and pay official visits to Australia and New Zealand. The trip will further tighten the Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership, open up new cooperation opportunities, and affirm the two countries’ role in promoting stability and shared prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.

Youth Month launched to help border areas in Da Nang

(VOVWORLD) - A youth volunteer program called “Border March" to help disadvantaged people in border areas has been launched in Da Nang city and Quang Nam province in response to the “I love my Fatherland” movement organized by the Youth Union every March in border communes nationwide. Youth Unions at all levels are organizing activities to promote economic development initiatives and volunteerism among young people in border areas.

Electronic Catch Documentation and Traceability system used in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - To combat illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, Vietnam is using the electronic catch documentation and traceability system (eCDT). This application monitors and ensures transparency and legality in line with regulations on certifying the origin of domestic fishing to satisfy the requirements of the European Commission.

Vietnam – active responsible member of UN Human Rights Council

(VOVWORLD) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and a Vietnamese delegation left Vietnam on Monday to attend the High-level Meeting of the 55th Regular Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva and pay an official visit to Ireland from February 26-29. The trip aims to affirm Vietnam’s commitment to being an active member of the UN Security Council in the spirit of “Respect and understanding, Dialogue and Cooperation, All Human Rights for All people.”
