Vietnam’s agricultural exports set high growth target despite difficulties

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam's exports of agro-forestry-fishery products was estimated at 3.72 billion USD in November, 2020, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Vegetables, fruits, coffee, cashew nuts, timber and timber products earned more than 2 billion USD in revenue. Despite difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the sector’s exports continue to grow and fetched 41 billion USD for the year.

Dong Dang-Tra Linh, expressway of international trade

(VOVWORLD) - The Prime Minister has approved an investment plan for the Dong Dang-Tra Linh expressway in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP) with total capital of nearly 900 million USD. The 115-km expressway will help promote Cao Bang’s economic growth, create a new trade route between ASEAN countries and China, and enable new socio-economic breakthroughs in the region.

Determination, flexibility, and responsiveness make Vietnam’s economy a success in 2020

(VOVWORLD) - The World Bank has forecast Vietnamese GDP growth of 2.8% this year, making it one of just four countries in the world with positive growth. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised its forecast of Vietnam’s 2020 GDP growth to 2.4%. Although this growth is below Vietnam’s target, it will be among the highest growth rates in the world.
