(VOVWORLD): This week we continue to receive entries for the writing contest “What do you know about Vietnam?” Some of our listeners said the Covid-19 pandemic has changed their living and working habits, including their DX’ing hobby. As VOV has extended the deadline of the contest to July 31, they have more time to prepare materials for their writing and will send their works as soon as possible.

(VOVWORLD) - How are you, dear listeners? We hope you are all safe and sound and that the COVID-19 pandemic in your country has been contained.

It is always interesting to listen to your broadcast. I like the perspective you have on global events. Thank you for your broadcast, and best wishes to everyone at Voice of Vietnam. I am located in the southeast of the UK and reported reception for the Voice of Vietnam on the frequency of 9730Khz between 22:15 and 22:50 on May 10, 2020.”

(VOVWORLD) - We’re happy to receive a letter from Webster Williams, a 61-year-old American listener who first listened to a VOV broadcast in 1972. He said it has been 47 years since the last time he heard VOV, but he remembers it like it was yesterday.

(VOVWORLD) - We continue to receive entries to our contest “What do you know about Vietnam?”, which we hold every five years.

(VOVWORLD) - VOV’s listeners have been telling us about the COVID-19 situation in their country. Jayanta Chakrabarty of India said: “As the world struggles to contain the spread of COVID-19, I take this opportunity to wish all citizens of Vietnam good health and safety. It is heartening to note that Vietnam has been able to tackle the coronavirus more successfully than many other countries due to its leadership and efficient healthcare system.”
