(VOVWORLD) - Thank you, listeners, for congratulating Vietnam on its success at the ongoing Asian Games in Indonesia. With two gold, 12 silver, and 13 bronze, the Vietnamese team ranked 20th in the medal tally by 2 pm Wednesday.

(VOVWORLD) - Our listeners often tell us about the weather in their country. We know that August is the hottest month in Tokyo. Some 800,000 people were displaced and more than 350 died in the worst flooding in a century in southern India's Kerala state last week. Due to the summer monsoon, Dhaka is in a long rainy season from June to October.

(VOVWORLD) -We’re glad to welcome Albert E Ford of England back to VOV’s DX’er community. He told us that he has been a radio enthusiast since the early 1970's and a more seriously active Dx’er in all forms of radio communications from about 1983 to late 1994 / early 1995.
