(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health announced two more cases of the novel coronavirus on the morning of Monday, taking the country’s tally to 262. Among the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Vietnam, 144 have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital.

Both Vietnamese cases live in Ha Loi village of Hanoi’s Me Linh district, a flashpoint for the highly contagious coronavirus. The two new COVID-19 cases brought the total number of infections in Ha Loi village to 10.

The village, which has more than 11,000 residents, has been on lockdown for 28 days. Inter-agency forces have been deployed at 10 checkpoints to monitor around the clock travel restrictions to the locality.
