(VOVWORLD) - Bishop Cherry Vann was appointed the new Archbishop of the Church in Wales on Thursday, becoming the first woman to lead any of Britain's Anglican churches.
Vann said her top priority in the new role will be to address long-standing internal issues and help restore trust in the Church.
She previously served as the Bishop of Monmouth and was among the first women ordained as priests in the Church of England in 1994.
