HCM City ready to enhance partnerships with Australian localities

(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City, with its expanded scope following the integration with Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Binh Duong provinces, has greater potential for collaboration with Australian localities, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Tran Luu Quang said during a meeting on Friday with visiting Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn.

Mr. Quang emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City, as a leading and dynamic economic hub of Vietnam, will be a key focal point for implementing development cooperation plans between Vietnam and Australia.

He expressed his hope that Australia will continue supporting the city’s robust growth with effective partnerships.

Governor-General Mostyn praised the potential growth of Ho Chi Minh City, expressing her hope that the city will maintain its development momentum while continuing close cooperation with Australian localities. She reaffirmed Australia’s commitment to hosting more Vietnamese students and trainees.
