Speaking at a conference of the National Steering Committee on International Integration, PM Chinh who is also Head of the Committee, stressed that international integration must closely follow national development needs and directly contribute to achieving double-digit growth, including the effective and substantive implementation of international commitments and agreements, as well as promoting energy and high-tech diplomacy.
PM Chinh said: "Foreign affairs and international integration must help shape a favorable landscape and environment for the country to enter a new era of advancement. They should play a proactive, enabling role, serve as a driving force, open up new opportunities for national development, and contribute to the goal of achieving double-digit growth."
"At the same time, these efforts must actively enhance the country’s standing and credibility amid today’s complex global political landscape, not just keeping pace and moving in step with others, but striving to rise above and take the lead. They must also contribute to the effective implementation of the foreign policy line set out at the 14th National Party Congress," said the PM.
He expressed confidence that ministries, sectors, localities, and committee members would work together to overcome challenges, “turn risks into opportunities, turn impossibilities into possibilities,” and help the country advance firmly into a new era.
