Meeting with US Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jacob Helberg at the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C., Minister Dien said Vietnam has always maintained the view that expanding high-tech cooperation with the US is a strategic step, in line with the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Vietnam aims for growth based on science, technology and innovation, striving to achieve a growth rate of over 10% in the next decade. So, cooperation with the United States in AI, high-tech and technology ecosystem development is considered appropriate and necessary. Vietnam has shown sincerity in trade talks, helping the United States achieve favorable results with its partners, the Minister added.

Under Secretary Helberg appreciated Vietnam's initiative, especially the AI cooperation initiative and underscored the importance of cooperation with Vietnam in security, energy, logistics, and supply chain. He welcomed Vietnam’s proposals, saying he would report them to senior leaders, including President Donald Trump.
