OPEC+ to maintain crude oil output levels through December 2026

(VOVWORLD) - The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries plus its allies (OPEC+)agreed on Sunday to maintain current crude oil production levels through December next year.

During a series of online meetings, the group approved a mechanism to determine the maximum production capacity of its member states, which will serve as a reference for determining output levels in 2027.

OPEC+ is currently maintaining production cuts of 3.24 million barrels per day, equivalent to roughly 3% of global demand.

The group agreed to keep these cuts unchanged, including a reduction of 2 million barrels per day through the end of 2026.
