Vietnam ready to implement Hanoi Convention

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is committed to working closely with other member states and the United Nations to promptly implement the UN Convention against Cybercrime (the Hanoi Convention) following its signing ceremony on Saturday in Hanoi, said Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.

He said the Ministry, in coordination with law enforcement agencies worldwide, will establish 24/7 international cybersecurity coordination centers in Vietnam to ensure rapid and accurate communication and information exchange with relevant national authorities.

Minister Quang emphasized that to effectively combat cybercrime, Vietnam will not only strengthen public awareness and communication but also prepare comprehensively in terms of legislation, institutions, and resources. This includes enhancing the capacity of cybercrime investigators through intensive training programs.
