Vietnamese senior diplomat visits Communist Party USA headquarters

(VOVWORLD) -Ambassador Do Hung Viet, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, on Wednesday visited the headquarters of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) in New York City and held a working session with its leaders at the start of his new tenure.

The session, chaired by Communist Party USA Co-Chair Joe Sims, brought together senior Party officials and members of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the UN.

The two sides agreed to expand theoretical exchange and youth engagement and connect labor and peace movements in the two countries.

Communist Party USA leaders said they intend to send more delegations to Vietnam, particularly youth groups, to study its socialist development firsthand.
