Vietnam’s 200 museums are storing 4 million artifacts, of which 200 are recognized as national treasures. The project collects and sells scrap materials, with the proceeds going toward a charity fund that assists locals facing hardships.
(VOVWORLD) - The bird's nest industry is regarded as one of Vietnam’s most profitable sectors. Swiftlet farming is practiced in 42 out of 63 provinces and cities, with bird's nest houses producing hundreds of tons annually, valued at nearly 500 million USD. Beyond meeting domestic demand, Vietnamese bird's nest products are also exported, steadily gaining ground in many of the world's most demanding markets.
(VOVWORLD) - The flash flood and landslide in early September left Lang Nu village in Lao Cai province with immeasurable loss. 57 people were killed and 10 others still missing. Many local children became orphans with no one to rely on. Many organizations and people have come to help the children recover and continue to go to school. 75-year-old teacher Nguyen Xuan Khang, principal of Marie Curie School adopted all the children below 15 who survived the disaster until they are 18 years old.
(VOVWORLD) - Severe landslides and floods triggered by typhoon Yagi earlier this month killed 20 people and injured dozens in Lung Ly hamlet and Lung Sung hamlet in Cao Bang province. Many houses were buried. With the help of authorities, neighbors, and benefactors, the affected households are gradually recovering.
