(VOVWORLD) - “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” is a famous quote from the book “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead” by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. She’s also the founder of Lean In, a non-profit organization aimed at creating a global community that encourages women to be active and ambitious in their careers even as they start families. The quote was also the topic of Lean In Vietnam’s recent talk show, which provided an intimate atmosphere for women to share experiences about work, family, and life. Thanh Ha reports.
(VOVWORLD) - Breakups are difficult and sometimes feel like the end of the world. For many people, nothing starts the healing process faster than immediately getting rid of all ex-related items. But rather than tossing them in the garbage, why not turn them into cash? The “ex”-market, recently established in Hanoi will help you do just that. The market not only allows you to sell all the stuff associated with your former lover, but provides a place to share your breakup stories and get some consolation.

Have you tried some of the dating apps now available on the Internet…but can’t seem to swipe your way into a love relationship? Are you open to making a deeper connection…but don’t want the pressure of a blind date? Well, then, “Find your match” might be what you’re looking for. (VOVWORLD) - Dating back thousands of years, board games have been played in numerous countries. Rolling some dice and moving playing pieces not only brings tons of fun but also fosters life skills for players. Located on Trấn Vũ Street, ‘The Cube Café’ is one of the first board-game café shops in Hanoi. It has become a popular spot for young competitive crews to get their game on by accessing a library of more than 300 games, while enjoying good food and beverages.
(VOVWORLD) - Recently in Hanoi, young people are creating more and more DIY workshops so that people can come to learn some new skills and experience a creative environment. One of those workshops is “Dance your fingers with Macrame”, which was held monthly to introduce handmade enthusiasts to the art of tying knots in making decorative items. With patience and a little practice, participants can create a beautiful work on their own that they can wear, display or even sell to make a little extra cash.
(VOVWORLD) - Have you ever thought of dyeing your own clothes…or painting a masterpiece, using natural dyes taken from agricultural waste or plants grown in your own backyard? Did you know natural dyes lie hidden in tree bark, in your kitchen cabinet, and in common plants you see every day? Today let’s follow VOV reporter Viet Anh to a workshop in Hanoi called “Silk painting with natural dyes” to find out how natural dyes are made and used to color fabrics.
(VOVWORLD) - Large eye-catching panels. Funny commercial son TV. Colorful flyers and brochures. These are types of modern advertising you see every day. But people still reserve a special place in their hearts for one of the earliest forms of advertising: the distinctive call of the street vendor. Though street calling is less common now than it used to be, you can still hear it from time to time on the streets of Hanoi.
(VOVworld) – Clever, witty and humorous, the Hanoi Improvisation Club and the Rotten Grapes Comedy Club recently cooperated to hold the “March Improvisation Comedy Show”. This is the first time improvisational comedy has been introduced to Vietnam. VOV’s Viet Anh reports:
