Student contest on maritime law launched in Quang Ngai province
(VOVWORLD) - On October 28, in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command, in cooperation with the Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Committee and the Department of Education and Training, launched a contest for high school students to study maritime law and the Vietnam Coast Guard’s role. Over 1,500 students from Binh Son High School participated.

Soc Trang determined to combat IUU
(VOVWORLD) - On October 30, a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Phung Duc Tien, met with leaders in Soc Trang province to review efforts in tackling illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing, with the aim of lifting the European Commission’s (EC) “Yellow Card” warning. The group also discussed sustainable aquaculture initiatives.

Communications on sea and island in 28 coastal provinces and cities
(VOVWORLD) - The Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission on Thursday coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Navy Command, holding a conference on sea and island communication in 28 coastal cities and provinces.
