He had stayed on the island for 10 years and was the first person to grow Barringtonia asiatica there. Today, we’ll tell you about this man.

(VOVworld) – Venerable Thich Giac Nghia is one of the first six Buddhist monks in Khanh Hoa who volunteered to relocate to the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands to manage temples there. He said the decision was made because of the six monks’ love for parts of the national territorial sovereignty. VOV reporter Vinh Phong has a story about this Buddhist monk.

This was also the first island of Truong Sa archipelago to be liberated by Liberation soldiers on April 14th in Ho Chi Minh campaign in 1975.
